Representatives of the State Tax Service trained in the field of personal data protection
On 15 September this year, the National Centre for Personal Data Protection (NCPDP) organised a training course on personal data protection for representatives of the State Tax Service (SFS).
The aim of the training course was to familiarise and raise awareness amongst SFS employees regarding the new requirements introduced by Law No. 195/2024 on personal data protection, as well as the specific aspects of personal data processing within the public sector.
During the training session, several relevant topics were covered, including: the principles of personal data processing; respect for the rights of data subjects; ensuring data security and confidentiality; data protection impact assessments; matters relevant to the data protection officer; the rights of data subjects; and other important details in this field.
Such training activities help to strengthen public employees’ knowledge and promote an institutional culture based on respect for the right to the personal data protection.
