Training course in the field of personal data protection for representatives of the Agency for Court Administration

At the request of Agency for Court Administration, on September 29th 2023, the National Centre for Personal Data Protection (NCPDP) organized a training course entitled “Evaluation, through the existing internal management control system, functionality of personal data processing process in the courts and courts of appeal” for the employees of the Agency. The event took place at the headquarter of the Comrat Court of Appeal.
The aim of the training course was to increase the perception of the employees of the Agency for Court Administration on the principles of personal data protection, as well as to identify a mechanism to assess the impact on personal data protection in courts and courts of appeal.
During the event, important topics were discussed, such as: definition of general notions related to the field of personal data protection; rights of personal data subjects; processing of special categories of personal data; requirements for the protection of personal data in dealing with official duties; ensuring the security and confidentiality of personal data processed; examination of requests for disclosure of personal data; verification of compliance of personal data processing; etc.
At the same time, the possibility of the leakage of information containing personal data from the paper file, the possibility of vague and/or non-existence of security measures for information in the paper file, non-compliance with the principles of integrity and security of personal data were of particular interest to the course participants. The training course also focused on the subject of depersonalisation of court decisions, determining the need for internal control activities on the process of anonymisation/depersonalisation of court decisions and the determination of organisational measures to protect information containing personal data.
About 40 representatives of the Agency for Court Administration have been trained during the event.
