The purpose of the training session was to raise awareness among Dubăsari Police Inspectorate staff regarding the principles of personal data protection, as well as to ensure the proper application of legal provisions in this field within their professional duties.
Important topics were discussed during the event, such as: the definitions of general concepts related to the field of personal data protection; the rights of personal data subjects; the processing of special categories of personal data; the lawful processing of personal data in police work; the requirements for data protection in the performance of job responsibilities; ensuring the security and confidentiality of processed personal data, etc.
The training course proved to be particularly relevant and beneficial for the Dubăsari Police Inspectorate, contributing both to strengthening the professional capacities of employees and to improving institutional processes. By participating in the training, they acquired: in-depth knowledge of the national and European legal framework applicable in the field of data protection, with an emphasis on the specific responsibilities of law enforcement institutions; practical tools for the correct and secure management of personal data, including in the context of direct interaction with citizens; increased clarity and accountability in relation to the rights of data subjects, reducing the risk of violating the law and protecting the image of the institution, as well as the opportunity to align with current standards of transparency, professionalism and information security, thus strengthening the community’s trust in police activity.
At the same time, the course had a direct and significant impact on the efficiency and accountability of the Dubăsari Police Inspectorate, contributing to the consolidation of an institutional culture based on respect for legality and the protection of citizens’ fundamental rights.
