Training course in the field of personal data protection, organized for representatives of the State Protection and Guard Service of the Republic of Moldova
On September 7, 2026, the National Center for Personal Data Protection (NCPDP) organised a training course for representatives of the State Protection and Guard Service of the Republic of Moldova.
The training was held at the request of the institution which, in its capacity as a controller, carries out activities involving the processing of personal data, thus requiring appropriate training in the application of the relevant legal requirements.
The training aimed to familiarise and raise awareness among the institution’s representatives of the latest legislative changes, with a view to ensuring the proper adaptation to and application of the new legal framework.
The main topics addressed during the training session included:
- the concept of personal data;
- the concept of personal data processing;
- principles relating to the processing of personal data;
- rights of data subjects;
- records of processing activities;
- measures to ensure data security and confidentiality;
- notification of personal data breaches;
- Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA).
Through the organisation of such training sessions, the NCPDP aims to inform and raise awareness among representatives of public and private entities in the Republic of Moldova regarding the latest legislative changes, which entered into force on August 23, 2026.
The event was held at the premises of the State Protection and Guard Service of the Republic of Moldova, with the participation of 45 representatives.
